We had our first Dr.'s appointment yesterday and we didn't expect to see our little peanut. My Doctor has two different offices, only one of which has ultrasound, and I was scheduled to go to the other one, closer to our house. So we went to the appointment, they gave me my welcome bag, and Kyle got to meet my Doctor. To our suprise, he sent us down to the other office, we were going to see out little peanut, hear the heartbeat, and get our expected due date! After some blood work up at the original office, we jumped in the car and anxiously headed down to get baby's first pictures!
It is the most amazing experience to see what has been growing inside you, see the heartbeat, its little vertebra, tiny arms and legs and giant head :) Our baby was moving like crazy, stretching, and squirming! Let's only hope that's a temporary trait! The tech handed us our pictures and sent us on our way. We'll go back near the end of January for our next appointment!
Keep the prayers and love coming, we can't wait to welcome this baby into the world!

New Addition
Kyle and I are excited to announce the first addition to our family. After three different brands of home pregnancy tests and a blood test at the Dr.'s office we have finally come to accept the reality that there will be a new family member. Our first real appointment is shortly after Christmas so we are excited to see our little bean for the first time and hopefully even see his/her heartbeat.
If we are correct in our calculations, we should expect baby Jaacks around the middle of July.
Check back often as we update this blog throughout the pregnancy and after our new baby is born.
